Japanese Nitto Seiko Develops MISTOL® Small Parts Inspection & Sorting Machine

2021-11-01
On customers' request for an inspection & sorting machine tailored to small parts that are prone to damage, Nitto Seiko has developed MISTOL®. An average full-inspection model would use a vibratory feeder to sort mass-produced parts, but this could potentially harm the parts during vibration; therefore, visual inspection is usually adopted for damage-prone parts. In contrast, MISTOL® can automatically inspect aluminum parts and fasteners among other parts without using any feeders. Its robotic arm can pick up a part and take it to the inspection zone to determine if it is qualified, thereby automating visual inspection and simplifying the operation.

The company began accepting orders for MISTOL® on October 1, 2021 and will start selling this machine on January 1, 2022.
