2016-10-06

The company's "Edge Lock Nut (E-Lock)" anti-loosening nut has had its friction ring design patented as a new technology. The patent is titled "anti-loosening nut" and numbered "5957632" with the registration date of July 1st 2016.

E-Lock is consisted of a nut and a friction ring. There is a cavity on the nut, and the 3-dimensional shape of the 3-wing friction ring is designed to be compatible to the lead angle of the threads. The friction ring is caulked to combine with the nut into a single unit. The 3-dimensional shape compatible to the lead angle will make the friction ring generate a consistent stress and corresponding counterforce that are both applied on the threads to form a stable prevailing torque. Early prevention of loosening can be achieved even if the fastening axial force drops.
