GOVERNMENTS/ASSOCIATIONS/FASTENER GROUPS 

On March 27 (Fri.), 2015, Guangdong Fastener Industry Association gave a spring tea social event at Royal Garden Hotel in Dongguan, Guangdong (China). More than 600 industrial professionals and delegations from Hong Kong Screw & Fastener Council and other associations in China as well as fastener/machine/mold manufacturers, distributors, material suppliers, purchasers, electroplaters, and the media gathered to attend this grand event for strengthening their friendship and discussing the future of the fastener industry.   A small business-matching event, in which many companies exhibited their new products and technology and received recognition and enthusiastic inquiries from the participants, was concurrently held at the hotel. Such a business-matching event was positioned to be a platform for industry players to release market intelligence, demonstrate new products, and reinforce interaction in the industry, increasing their reputation and influence.

The dinner gala started at 18:00 p.m. and then Chairman Jhu Tien Chen of Guangdong Fastener Industry Association gave an opening speech on “Exploration of the Future of the Fastener Industry,” which he showed detailed data to explain the current conditions and the future trend of the global and domestic Chinese fastener industry, especially the development of the fastener industry in Guangdong. Although the global economy is currently not in a very good condition, the demand for fasteners continues to increase every year and the market is still growing. Everybody should have confidence in the year of 2015.    

Regarding the future development of the fastener industry, Chairman Jhu Tien Chen also offered a few suggestions: First, a correct position must be made and a self-owned brand must be created. Second, supply chain management must be optimized. Third, business range must not only be in China but the whole world. He added that only when the trend is modestly analyzed, and when the innovation and upgrade of products are accelerated to strengthen the ability of companies to adapt themselves to the market, can we finally achieve the biggest success.

Then, Secretary Chia Wen Lao of Guangdong Fastener Industry Association reported the work schedule of the Association for 2015. She said that the Association now has over 500 member companies (2014: only over 200 companies) and with the effort of all directors and members, fastener companies based in Guangdong have grown bigger and stronger with mentionable progress day by day. In her report she introduced the release of the new association press, new website, and a WeChat platform to provide members with better service. 

During the event, Vice General Manager Wu-I Hsieh of Ningbo Si Jin Machinery and Secretary Guang Da Chen of Zhejiang Fastener Association  were also invited to give the opening speech, share their successful experience, and illustrate the current development of industries in Zhejiang.
