Thanks to its focus on the research and development of new products, and to its continuous internationalization effort, Specialinsert Srl was recently selected to participate in an exclusive GAP business project. GAP is an exclusive programme at the UCLA Anderson School of Management – University of California, USA – that is accessible every year to a limited group of 50 companies of 10 selected countries based on the level of product innovation. Cinzia Arduini, Specialinsert CEO, explains that the content of the project involved, ‘Working for 6 months with a team of executive MBA students at the Anderson School of Management to develop an effective business and marketing plan for the US market. The team did a massive job, with hundreds of interviews of key players in the fasteners industry in Italy and USA.” Federico Sarti, export manager at Specialinsert, added, “The market forecasts for our new products are really encouraging so we need to execute strategies defined within the plan soon.” Therefore in 2015 Specialinsert is planning to establish a network of distributions within the US and is planning to launch its two newest families of product - Keep-Nut and Master-Plate® - before extending distribution to all of its range.
